Girls Model - Industry Standards
Industry Standards
What is the how & why of modeling, how do you get work?
Industry Standards "...the long & short of it."
In advertising when a client decides on advertising campaign, they (or their ad agency) has a "call" for talent. An "open call" is when a general announcement is made for modeling talent - or the ad agency may just contact a few modeling agents with their requirements.
Models are called for a 'go/see'. Here models present their portfolio and discuss the assignment. Next is 'call back' where selected models are invited back to discuss this assignment.
The final step - an offer is made.
Money -
What sort of money is available?
Budgets (for talent) are factored on: Recognition of the Artist, Ad Placement & Duration, Amount of Glamour, and the Media.
Bottom line - ask for the fee's your comfortable with.
Agent
The purpose of an agent is to get you work. An Agent Does Not Charge You Fee's, but does receive a percentage of the work they obtain for you.
A good agent gets you work - and never sign an 'exclusive' agreement with an agent, unless, they can guarantee some $10,000/year in assignments.
Portfolio Assignment
